This is a perspective that you do not hear in the media or from the average Doctor. Our Doctor diagnosed me in 5 minutes after asking me some BS questions.

It is crazy. I went nearly bananas taking Adderall. The only good thing about Adderall was that I lost almost 15 pounds… but trust me, it was not worth it.

Thank you for this video and for getting the Truth out there. I have read the book.
I knew a bunch of the info, but there were some really good angles that I have never thought of before. I will be trying the supplements in step 2 soon.

Our Doctor is recommending the new ADHD drug Vyvanse. Has anyone had any experiences yet? I am very leary of using meds… especially after watching this video.

    • gina January 24, 2010 at 6:38 pm #

My 7 year old was taking Vyvanse 30 mg. once daily. I recently stopped him from taking it. He wasn’t really showing much difference in his actions while taking it for over a year. I even, at one point, let the doctor “up” his mg. to 40mg and he didn’t react well at all. I am currently seeking counsel for my son…be it by diet, vitamin supplement …whatever besides the drugs. He wasn’t eating well, his eyesight started getting bad, too many negative things. The drug is not for my child. Just make sure you research completely…there are other alternatives…it just takes time and effort. Best of luck.

We tried Vyvance when my son was about 7 years old and my son had terrible side effects. He actually started pulling hair out of his head to a point he had a big bald spot on his scalp and I can’t say it helped him focus any better. We went back to concerta and have been very successful (my son is now 11) but I am now very interested in getting him off all meds eventually. By the way, as soon as we took him off the Vyvance, all the side effects stopped.

I have been taking Vyvanse for over a year to treat my ADD and bi polar. I take the vyvanse in the morning, but I must eat a breakfast first or else I will have a loose stool for the day.

I started with a high dose of 100mg and I did not sleep well. It was lowered to 50 mg and now I am on 30 mg. I cannot say that it helps a lot but if I do not take it I notice a change in my behavior.

My side effects are dry mouth and minor urinary control

      I hope that is helpful

We had our son on Vyvanse for a year. It seemed to help him through the day but was worn off by late afternoon. Vyvanse is a high blood pressure medication they found to work for ADHD. Definately had a side affect of loss of appetite and in the beginning my son had a minor tic that went away after awhile. I dont like medication myself and would prefer not to give it to my son- but he cannot cope in school without it.

      • Murphj April 3, 2011 at 8:58 pm #

Vyvanse is “not” a blood pressure medication. It was specially made for ADHD. It is a pro-drug. It works by only becoming active after being processed by the liver. It works this way because some people with ADHD have addiction problems.

    • kathleen November 7, 2010 at 6:23 pm #

My son, 15 has been on it for 6 months. He is now eating like crazy , finally expeiencing a good appetite after 6 years of not feeling hungry from other ADHD meds. He is sleeping better without the help of sleep medication like he had to take with other ADHD meds. However, this medication does not seem to help with his ADHD symptoms. I am going back to the Dr. this week to see if it is a dosing problem. Its too bad it isn’t working because I am sure enjoying the no side effects part.

    • ba7796us February 11, 2011 at 4:16 pm #

I was diagnosed n the 5th grade & I graduated high school in 96 but I’ve been on vyvanse for 4 yrs now or so with NO side effects and it has been working great for me but as you may know that drugs effect people differently so give it time when taking ANY medication give it about a month or two before deciding to a doctor since I’m not a Dr. so just don’t take any advice without consulting with a licensed professional. I hope this has helped anyone reading this post.

  4. Jon Bennett May 12, 2009 at 7:56 am #

Wow! thank you for all the comments. I have been flooded with positive emails. It really encourages me!

To answer your question. The jury is still out on Vyvanse… but I would not touch it with a 10 foot pole. Shire created for the sole purpose of replacing their blockbuster $$multi-million drug Adderall.

Reason: the adderall patent is about to run out… and they need a “new” drug to replace it.

So put your kid on this drug so that the stockholders remain happy ;-) I don’t think so!

Hi. I have seen the video and am alarmed. My son is on Vyvanse in the morning and Dextroamphet in the afternoon. It has been 3 3/4 years to somewhat see him normal. He had all the violence and 51/50, Hospitals, terrors, and more of what I saw on the video. Can you help us? ? ? Jacque I adopted my three grandchildren to save them not to see them harmed in any way.

You should try telling the truth and not misleading people. You know you could be seriously screwing some peoples lives up because of your ego trip.

Someone asked about the side effects of Vyvanse. Well, my child just started taking Vyvanse and I am highly concerned. They always said there are no side effects other than losing weight from taking ADD med’s and this is a lie!!!! My child has had blurry vision, nausea, stomach aches, she paces back and forth, has tics now, and difficulty sleeping. She also became very emotional crying for hours. We are no longer taking ADD med’s, until I do more research!!! Why has the United States Federal Government allowed the FDA to lie to us! It clearly states all these side effects on the drug label, yet the doctors say there are no side effects!!!!

  9. conzerned1 August 17, 2009 at 7:53 pm #

wow! ididn’t know about this..thank you very much, this video is really helpful. The psychiatrist prescribed my son a Daytrana patch and there’s a lot of side effects and I saw your web and I decided ther’s no medication for my son.

    • Jon Bennett August 26, 2009 at 9:39 am #

Yes. It is like playing with fire. There is really no need because you can get better results naturally anyway! :-)

My daughter has had the basic food allergy test and shows no allergies. But her doctor prescribes her Claritin and Veramyst for ‘seasonal allergies’. Our physician is a big advocate for the ALCAT food and chemical sensitivity screening. This blood test will report sensitivities and then you remove them from your diet. We have not done this because it is extremley expensive and of course-out of network. Has anyone heard or tried this test?

    • Jon Bennett September 20, 2009 at 2:05 pm #

Yes. This is an excellent idea and something that I really recommend.

Although it is extras work, you will be better for it in the long run. You can also get a hair sample tested for vitamins and nutrients you child may be lacking.

Just read your book. I had no idea. I have a eleven year old w/ADHD and we have taken him off of any med because of all the side effects. He was not sleeping, eating or socializing. He is much happier now and so are we, but I am afraid his school work will suffer. What should I try first? The vitamins or ne-be-calm? Any info would be helpful.

    • Jon Bennett September 20, 2009 at 2:02 pm #

I would do the vitamins first and then add the neu-beCALM’d after you get that down pat :-)

My son was just diagnosed yesterday with ADD. I found your website last night while I was trying to do some research. I’m very scared to put him on any meds especially after seeing your video’s. I don’t know what to do next. What vitamins are you talking about?

  12. Reena September 22, 2009 at 4:27 pm #

Hi, I am new to this site, in fact just purchased the book so have not read it yet. I have an 8 year old son who was recently diagnosed with mild form of ADHD. Doctors are suggesting drugs and I am still not sure on what to do. Has any one used or given to their children a drug called “Strattera”? It is supposed to be a non stimulant drug. Thanks.

    • Jon Bennett September 26, 2009 at 4:33 pm #

Yes, Strattera was supposed to be the safer “non” stimulant ADD drug, but many doctors are moving away from Strattera because it has show to cause serious liver damage. There are a bunch of class action lawsuits. google it – Jon

    • Donna August 2, 2011 at 4:50 pm #

Reena, My ADHDer tried strattera 3 different dosages all did not help. I would find him laying by the side of the road or in someones driveway trying to nap. He would say his legs were so tired. This is definitely not for ADHD maybe ADD not sure. He is now on Adderal which helps him.

  13. momofthree October 11, 2009 at 5:58 pm #

This video was soo helpful! We have just finished taking our son off of Strattera. I am ashamed to say that he had been on this med for about six years. He is doing just fine although he is a little impulsive at times. What 11 year old isn’t? His grades at school are okay. We have started him on Omega 3, a good multivitamin, extra magnesium, and cleared the sugar out of his diet. He still has asthma and I would like to get whatever books I can to help me with further figuring out what else maybe causing allergy type problems. What books do you recommend? I want to say to everyone out there. STAY as far away as possible from the drugs that are being pushed at our kids. Kids are dying from this stuff.

  14. EFTcharlotte October 12, 2009 at 6:06 am #

Wow, that is a great powerful message. I do treat kids with ADHD and ADD symptoms with EFT and/ or NLP, plus a sugarfree and additive free diet. (If you’re interetsed: EFT4ADD.com, free manual & lots of free info video’s etc). EFT plus diet has a 80% success rate, but I will definitely look into the allergies as well. I got rid of my own allergies by using a combination of NLP and EFT; I was on an elimination diet for 20+ years before that.
For most kids a simple histamine-low diet would probably work, and then tackle the allergies for example with NLP and/or EFT?

Thanks so much for sharing this and for making parents aware!

    PS. Vyvanse actually is an amphetamine;

Lisdexamfetamine (L-lysine-D-amphetamine; sold as Vyvanse) is a psychoactive drug and stimulant prodrug of the phenethylamine and amphetamine chemical classes. (a href=”http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisdexamfetamine”>Wikipedia)

  15. athena777 October 12, 2009 at 12:06 pm #

Hello. I have actually been prescribed Vyvance and it was no different then Adderall. It even felt like it was stronger then Adderall and it is just another drug name for an amphetimene. LOL…..

  16. Veronica Corlew October 25, 2009 at 2:21 am #

Try getting off of wheat gluten It cleared up my asthma. It was even in some underarm deodorants.

    • Louise Ingebrethsen June 4, 2010 at 5:13 pm #

I agree with what Veronica said about the “wheat gluten”.

From what my naturopath doctor told me years ago, it causes many problems. My symptoms from gluten are….headaches, depression, sinus problems, and constipation.

I read about a 70yr old woman who found out that her exzema that she had all those years was caused by “gluten”.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it also caused ADD/ADHD.

I am so happy that you have this website. People definitely need to know this stuff.

  17. Leia Erickson October 27, 2009 at 9:51 am #

I took Vyvanse, and it was good for a few months but I became seriously underweight. I dropped from a healthy 130 to 112 at my lowest. Everybody noticed how “skinny” I was and they weren’t saying it in a good tone. No matter how much I tried to eat I couldn’t gain any weight and my boyfriend became very concerned for me. I am also in the military and I tested positive for amphetamine and had to submit all kinds of paperwork proving that I was taking it legally. Imagine taking a meth derivative legally? It also took down my libido so I slowly eased off of it and have been much happier. Taking supplements has definitely helped and without the awful side effects of medication.

I AM GLAD THAT YOUR SON IS OFF STRATTERA. MY SON IS SEVEN YEARS OLD AND HE WAS OFFERED THE DRUG. HE TOOK IT FOR EIGHT DAYS AND HE WOULD NOT TAKE IT AGAIN. HE WOULD ACTUALLY FIGHT WITH ME NOT TO TAKE IT. HE HAS EPILEPSY. HE TAKES HIS MEDICINE WITHOUT HESITATION. THE STRATTERA WAS LIKE A CROSS TO A VAMPIRE.

NO DADDY, PLEASE I DON’T WANT IT. I AM NOT TAKING IT. NOPE, I DON’T LIKE IT. HE WOULD RUN AWAY FROM ME. OUT THE DOOR AND DOWN THE STREET HE WENT. I SAID WHY DON’T YOU LIKE IT? HOW DOES IT MAKE YOU FEEL? HE WOULD NOT ELABORATE. HE JUST REFUSED TO TAKE IT. I USED TO MIX IT WITH YOGURT. HE ACTUALLY SPIT IT OUT THE LAST COUPLE OF TIMES I GAVE IT TO HIM. HE MIGHT OF ONLY TAKEN IT FOR SIX DAYS.

NO MORE. I SAID I AM SORRY SON. IF YOU DON’T WANT IT YOU DON’T HAVE TO TAKE IT. HE USED TO COMPLAIN OF HEART SCARES WHEN HE WAS ON ADDEROL, AND STRATTERA. SIX/SEVEN YEARS OLD AND HE WOULD DESCRIBE A PAIN IN HIS HEART AS A HEART SCARE. THAT WAS ENOUGH FOR ME. THESE ARE CALLED PHYSCHO-STIMULANT DRUGS. THE HUMAN BODY DOES NOT PRODUCE SO CALLED PHYSCHO-STIMULANT DRUGS. THESE KIDS DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT HAVE A PHYSCHO-STIMULANT DEFICIENCY.

THE MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS DO NOT MAKE MONEY FROM PRESCRIBING A BETTER DIET OR VITAMINS OR SUPPLEMENTS. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. MONEY, MONEY, MONEY. NOBODDY FROM THE FOOD INDUSTRY GOES TO THESE DOCTORS AND SAYS ADVISE MORE PEOPLE TO EAT MORE VEGETABLES AND FRUIT AND I WILL GIVE YOU A PERCENTAGE OF THE SALES PROFIT.

DRUG SALESMEN DO THIS. THAT IS WHY THEY GIVE AWAY SAMPLES. DRUG SALESMEN ARE ALWAYS AT THE DOCTORS OFFICE WITH THIER BIG BAG OF GOODIES TO SHOW THEM. THEY SHOW UP AT THE CONVENTIONS THAT THE MEDICAL PROFESSION HOLDS EACH YEAR IN LAS VEGAS, PUERTO RICO, AND OTHER EXOTIC LOCATIONS.

DO YOU THINK THAT THESE DOCTORS AND OTHER HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS DRIVE AROUND IN BMW’S AND MERCEDES BECAUSE THEY ARE NICE PEOPLE? NO. THEY NEED MONEY TOO. THEY HAVE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IN STUDENT LOANS TO PAY OFF. MEDICAL SCHOOL IS EXPENSIVE. I DON’T BLAME THEM.

THE BOTTON LINE IS ABOUT THE MONEY. NOT ABOUT MAKING SOMEONE HEALTHY. DO NOT USE DRUGS, DON’T, DON’T, DON’T. WHAT DOES IT MATTER TO THEM IF YOUR SON OR DAUGHTER DIES? KIDS DIE EVERYDAY. IT WOULD ONLY AFFECT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. NOT THIERS. THEY MIGHT BE SAD FOR A FEW MINUTES, THEN BUSINESS AS USUAL. NOT MY KID. NOPE, NOT MY KID AND I
    HOPE NOT YOURS.

CHANGE THE DIET. I GAVE MY SON MAGNESIUM SUPPLEMENTS TWO DAYS AGO AND HIS BEHAVIOR IN SHCOOL AND AT HOME WAS EXCEPTIONAL. IT WAS THE BEST TWO DAYS HE HAS HAD IN SCHOOL ALL YEAR. THE SCHOOL STAFF ASKED ME WHAT I DID AND I JUST SMILED AND SAID WATCH WHAT I CAN DO. GOOD LUCK TO ALL PARENTS, I WILL TAKE AN OVERACTIVE, HAPPY, VIBRANT, HEALTHY, CREATIVE, KID OVER A DEAD KID ANY DAY. BEST OF LUCK TO ALL.

    SINCERELY,

Thank you ,Neil .I have two kids with ADHD and is not easy to take care. The medical industry is a good lier industry. My oldest son is 16 now and he is on High school, thanks a good people ho share some strong information like you did. Took me some years and good lessons to realized NO ONE DESERVES torture as this, just for the money. But life is good what we need is just love and patience.

My grandson was taking concerta and resperdone. He developed a kind of gasping and facial ticks.I found out both have pretty much the same side effects..so what was causing the problem is anyones guess.I’m taking him off both. How long before the facial tics went away with your child. Is he better now?

  20. Laura Flynn October 31, 2009 at 7:57 pm #

After my seperation I moved away and my son started to develop alot of problems with authority, so the school said he needed **something**. I took hom the doctors and of course they put him adrerall 20mg. Well his behavour did not change that much and he was doing so bad in school that social services came into my life…With tons of fights with the courts, my son who is 15 now has been taken away from me and is placed in a youth centre, and they want to place him until 18 because he doesn t listen to me. He is just a teen, who never fought with their parents. No one listens to me, and I again going to court to battle for my sons liberty.. It just not fair, if anyone has advise for me, please tell me because my heart is breaking and my son is loosing his teen years.I just want to raise my son and love him for who he is.

    Thanks,

Get a good lawyer… Has his behaviour improved with their intervention? If not then hold your ground… Social services often do not do what is in the best interest of the child. Obviously, there are times when children NEED to be removed from an abusive home… However, he may be having a hard time adjusting to change? Counselling for you and him might help, he may just need someone to talk to, or there may be a depression issue that needs addressing… take care…

Hi, I just watched the video and read through the posts. My daughter has been diagnosed with ADHD and was prescribed the medicine vyvanse. She has not started it yet because the insurance does not cover it until it gets pre-approved. Right now I do not have the money to buy the book that is being talked about. Can someone tell me what natural ways to help ADHD. I also don’t want my child to lose weight or lose her personality. (She’s 15)

  24. Lori November 30, 2009 at 1:42 pm #

My 8 year old son has ADD, and has gone through Adderall, Concerta, Strattera, and is now on Vyvanse. I am extremely concerned due to the fact that his personality has changed totally. He is not sociable, he has emotional breakdowns (I associated them with what I call the coming down period) And he does not have an appetite whatsoever. His doctor prescribed a medication to increase his appetite (they give this to people with anorexia), he also has trouble falling asleep at night. Sometimes it is midnight or later before he can finally fall asleep.
When he is having his emotional breakdowns, I hear so many times “Why do you hate me?” This is not my son at all.
He is not hyper, his problem is staying focused, completing work in a timely manner, concentrating, etc in school. He is in the 3rd grade but is reading on a 6th-7th grade reading level. His teacher and the asst. principal has talked with him, and my son pretty much told them he was bored with the work they do. He is a very smart little boy and at times I feel he is not being challenged enough.
The teacher said when I started him on the Vyvanse, it was like night and day. Not that his grades were all that bad, but he was getting 90′s and 100′s after taking the meds, and his handwriting improved 100%. I don’t feel that this medicine is worth it to satisfy the teacher, when he is suffering emotionally and physically due to the fact that he will not eat. He was taken off of the Strattera due to the fact that he was losing too much weight in a short amount of time. He is also anemic, and I have read that anemia can mimic ADD symptoms.
I am wondering if it would be best to take him off these meds and allow him to be who he is, not some medicated zombie. The teachers only have these children for 8 hours, yet I see more side effects in him than the school system does. I am a single mother, and only want the best for my son.
Can someone please give me some advice that has gone through the same things that we are going through right now? In the beginning my son would beg me NOT to give him the medicine, and it would rip my heart out because I felt like I needed to give it to him so he would not suffer in school.
Thank you so much for your time and advice into my concerns.

    ~Lori

      Hi Lori .
I have a 10 yrs old son that is on strattera and I’m going through the exact same thing as you are .He as been taking meds for almost 4years now and since he started these pills he as not been the same .He tried a few meds but he is been on strattera for a year now.

He’s in a big depresson ,lost interest in evrything ,he is getter more and more agressive. He dont eat much ,as a ruff time falling asleep…the doctor wanted to give sleeping pills but I said no..I dont recognize him anymore .The other day ,he told me that he hated life that i wanted to die ,i fell in tears.

The only thing that those pills help him with ,it’s is grades at school .He has very few friends,he prefers to be left alone.Anyways he as not been the same since he started taking meds.

Tomorrow ,I’m going to the doctor with him ,and I dont want him to take meds anymore ,I want my happy, full of life little boy back .

Good luck with your son …

    • gina January 24, 2010 at 6:56 pm #

Please…please…your child deserves to be who he is. I totally sympathize with your concern on his school work…but seriously…this is your childs life…you have to recognize the long term effect…it is grim by staying on medication that is not intended to help but for lack of better terms “mask” your childs issue. Research is key. You KNOW YOUR CHILD BETTER THAN ANYONE. Do not let someone take that away by dosing him. My son is 7. I just took him off of Vyvanse…i couldn’t be more concerned about his health…he was having issues with his sight, with his diet,he did not want to take the meds…so i myself stopped giving them to him…i’m not saying there aren’t issues still I’m finding new ways to deal with them..and i sleep much sounder at night knowing my child is not slowly “dying” from that pill. My advice is to follow your heart and pray. This is YOUR child. Best of luck. God bless.

    • kath February 5, 2010 at 1:28 pm #

Get him off the medicine!!! If your son is telling you he doesn’t want it, then there is a reason. I have looked up symptoms on thyroid disfunction. It sounds like your son has some of the symptoms of hypothyroidism. Look it up and see what you think. I am having my son’s thyroid tested to see if that might be the problem and I have noticed there are some foods that effect him. Wheat, gluten and maybe processed flour is a big factor for my son. I think kids didn’t use to have these problems because our food was processed differently. Now they have changed things with our food and more kids are having problems. I am finding 1 child out of every family I talk to has a problem with their child. Very sad! There was a guy I worked with last year who was in the Navy. I told him about my son, he said…”It’s the food”. Did he know something that the government isn’t telling us? I am sure of it. So, the question is…What are they putting in or on the food? John what do you think?

There are several things that should be investigated before ADD ADHD is assumed. Diet and allergies are always 2 I look at first.

        • Melanie November 17, 2010 at 6:27 am #

I would like to know more about the allergies like with respect to ADD symptoms. My daughter is 5 and having trouble already in school with concentration and staying on task. We eat at home mostly and don’t eat a lot of processed foods, However an all organic diet is not finacially possible.

I would like to know more about the allergies like with respect to ADD symptoms. My daughter is 5 and having trouble already in school with concentration and staying on task. We eat at home mostly and don’t eat a lot of processed foods, However an all organic diet is not finacially possible.

Hi, Lori. What’s good for you your son get grades or some life?? I ask me this a 16 years ago.Is a strong thoughts but is his life. My son reads college level and he is really strong in math, but real poor in life, concentration, friends, socialization. He lost 11 pounds in his first year in school , because I’m doing what the school and the teachers ask me to do it .He always in doctors offices with no sleeping, no eat , anemia, breakdowns because the kids call him skeleton. A nightmare. Medication, doctors, testes noting help me on my and his decision. The best thing I did is found a good school ho really know my need and my son nightmare. After 5 schools,I found some help. Took me nerves of steel and time. The school system just “help” you if “you” go and beg for help and that is what I did. He never took any more medication, He never felt alone, He have friends, He is in Hight school and going to college. Talk to your son this is his life not yours. Talk to him about yours concerns and smile. My son is now 5’9”,169 pounds, a big “man”. His brother is now 8 years old and going to the same steps, and I’m here to do the same thing for him if I need. Praise your son for every smile, and every hug he give back to you.He is your son.

I have heard of parents taking their kids off the meds for the summer break… Often due to the cost… Try the diet and suppliments suggestions and try a break from the meds to see if things improve…

The meds have scary side efects, any alternative is worth a try? Besides a healthy diet and vitamins won’t do any harm

I can sympathize with you because I have fought the public school system for the last 3 years regarding my grandson. The teachers always felt that something is wrong with him because he doesn’t fit perfectly into their scheduled classroom system. He was always recommended to see a physician for the possibility of being ADD/ADHD. Even now at 8 years old, he recently saw an MD who administered a short test and within 45 minutes or so, he was writing out a prescription for Vyvanse, which his mom declined the offer. The children today have the type of brain that is suited for our future Space Age. Our poor public school teachers are still teaching from the Industrial era. My grandson already uses the computer but our public educational system in America does not feel that computers are necessary for 3rd graders; although we are already in the Internet Age. My field is psychology and what I’ve learned to be true is that a classroom setting is not the perfect environment for highly creative intelligent children. Their brains are not given the opportunity to be creative; daydreaming is actually connected to a mode that the brain goes into when it is creating or inventing. Thomas Edison was kicked out of school in the 3rd grade, and even his own Dad thought he was stupid. Can you imagine if he lived in our time and was put on Vyvanse? That’s a scary thought. Whether you do this or not, check out K12; a home schooling program that understand the problems that exist in a classroom setting for highly intelligent children. It is free in most states, but not all. Always fight for your son’s right to be who he is! Why is it always the child’s fault? What if there is nothing wrong with the child and something is wrong with the teaching method?

before putting my son on metadate(a long acting ritalin)I had gone to family counseling, changed his diet and used ADHD suppliments etc. After seeing this video I may revisit the dietary aspect of his treatment. Perhaps I have missed something and I may be able to get him away from the Metadate.

It breaks my heart to think about the millions of children that take ADD meds. My son was the same as all the chidren mentioned above. Personality changes, feeling sick, loss of appetite, weight loss and begging me not to give him the medication. Now that he is off of the medication he is having problems at school again. Not being able to focus, not turning his work in on time. I can’t wait to get my book. I know it will help

WOW! My 6 year old was just ‘diagnosed’ with slight ADHD – very borderline. He also was diagnosed (last year) with a mood disorder. He is currently on Depakote which has made a huge difference with his anger. It has not changed HIM. However, I am not wanting to add another medicine on him. I am so excited to try this 1 week allergy diet to see what happens.

I am really against medication but my school was calling everyday concerning my son not participating in class and not doing his class work or homework. I really think that my son is Depressed but I also think that he has a neurological problem. He just has this blank awkward atare and I am really just reaching out for some help with him. Please, If you have any other suggestions, let me know.

Hello, I will pray for your son. I am 32 years and have lived a life of a 60yo! I was diagnosed at 8yo. and was taking ritilan, dexadrin ect. What we need to remember that these are symptoms NOT a disease or disorder. The more your child understands this he will not suffer from the mental stigmas that are attached with children with “learning disabilities.” these symptoms arise to the different bio-make ups ofr people. This is symply a diet diffience. I also used opoits from extensive college football injuries. Drucker labs makes the best liguid vitamine independantly testes and far exceeds. The main diffiency is NEUROTRANSMITTERS. Drucker has all the essentials but you will need to go to a good naturalpath to have blood work to find what transmitters you are low in. THis is the most important cannabinoids. Cannabinoids, please research DR. MELEMEDE and Dr. Greenspoon, harvard on youtube and other publications.

Hi I just watched the video, We Think my boy(he’s 4, going on 5) has some sort of ADD, but, for some reson my dr’s tell me he’s too young to get tested, i don’t want him on med’s, but i do know (SOME) Sugar makes him Hyper, and he does’nt know how to calm down. But i don’t know what foods have added Suger, and i don’t know if he’s Allergic to anything, Is there any way i can find out what he’s allergic to, like the video’s ? I would also like to know if there’s anything i can do, to help him from not being so hyper.. even off simple food’s, without extra added suger.

putting him on the strongest nartic know to man at probably 60lbs is a crime in my mind. DIET DIET DIET,Get John Bennett’s book 3 steps to conquering add. Cannabinoids will oventially be the treatment for symptoms they label “ADD” also drucker labs makes the best liquid vitamine that includes all the neurotransmitters wich a add/addhd brain is deficient. Please go to a naturalpath and have to extensive blood work and he can determine exactly what he is difficient in. These transmitters consist of addrenalin, seratonin, opoids, cannabinoids, and other necessity transmiters for healthy brain function. Folks its in the neurotransmitters and diet, excersise, and suppliment what you are difficient in. If you need any recommendations of a good natruralpath please email. PLEASE don’t put him on ritilin. If anything give him pseudoaffedrin same offect less dangeroous. But try all other suggestions first. don’t put a bandaid on this treat the underlying problems so he can live a noemal life without the drugs!!! God Bless, JEff

thank you so much. What an eye opener. My son has been taking medication for 4 years. I know that it can not be good. The system really tries to pin it on you that this is the only answer but I am not willing to accept that anymore.

    • Jeff E. May 18, 2013 at 7:12 am #

I feel you anger for believing the lie. Please watch Dr. Grenspoon/ Harvard, and Dr, Melemede. Another great book is my John Bennett 3 steps to conquering add (will give you and idea of what the add addhd brain is defficient in. Please cal me at 206-290-3642

p.s. I suffered from add symptoms and took ritilin, dexadrin, and I finally found the wonder drug that is a plant and used in conjuction with the suppliments, diet, and liq. vitamine.

I did the self-testing for food allergies after a “Doctor” told me my son acted like he was posessed by a demon because I had spanked him. My son had gotten spanked a few days prior because he attacked his sister. I was also told to “hold” him. Ya – RIGHT. I have the scars on my arms to show how well that worked. He didn’t show any response to different foods or dyes – non that was remarkable anyway – but then I took him to an allergy specialist. Started him on allergy meds for seasonal stuff and quit letting him stay the night with family who smoked. It was night & day. He still has trouble concentrating, but no more crazed insanity.

I did that 32yr ago with my grandson father, and will never do it again. He was not in lets say a good place. However I’m trying to help my grandson from going thur this. He has some of the problems that his father had, but nothing like him. He has out breaks of screaming and running around. I have been trying to get on the web page to order the liquid vitamins, with no sucess. Would you help me out. Thank You,

Hi I was diagnosed with ADHD about 1 Year ago. I am 39 years old. I always new even as a child something was differant about me compaired to my friends. My mom could not control me at all, I was inpulsive and rebelious. I always had to be doing something physical like long, long walks or going from store to store. I was getting in trouble a lot as well, I was very impulsive. My head was always racing and I was always restless. It seemed I could not stay interested in anything it just to boring. I also had headaches all the time I can remember from age 7 up to a year ago. I had to just do something to feel right. I really have a hard time explaining. When I was diagnosed I asked for a medication that was not new and had the least amount of side effcts, I have always been leary of any medication. I was put on Ritalin it seems to help my impulsiveness and slow my thoughts down so that I may sit aand relax at least for a while, it also has stopped my headaches. Could this still be a food allergy?

My son is 9 yrs old and was diagnosed last year with ADHD. He was switched to a medicine called Focalin 5mg from January and the school teacher says this is better than the previous one he was on. He is participating more in the class and his attention has improved much she says. The thing I don’t like is his weight loss and emotional outbursts at the drop of a hat. He doesn’t understand when we tease him and considers that the world is out to get him. He has gone from a fun loving, good looking kid to a slightly moody, skeleton looking kid. He totally hates eating vegetables and I have to find ways to make him eat them. Is anybody else on Focalin?

  42. Victor R. Van Hyfte April 8, 2010 at 3:12 am #

The most shocking thing to me is that our school systems put children through the DARE Program and teach them to “just say no to drugs” and then turn around and tell parents they need to take them to the Doctor and put them on some kind of “dope” so they can be compliant little robots in the classroom. KIDS NEED LOTS OF EXCERCISE! Pharmaceuticals are man-made “CHEMICALS” that don’t naturally occur in nature. If it isn’t vitamin, mineral, animal, or vegetable I’m not putting it in my body. Unfortunately, the environment & the entire food chain has been corrupted by dangerous chemicals. And where do these “new diseases” come from? Mars? I don’t trust doctors, lawyers, politicians, scientists, or ANYONE ELSE who works for the GOVERNMENT or ANY CORPORATION. They all manipulate information for their own career benefit. We The People are SHEEP for them to FLEECE.

And furthermore, when I was a child, cartoons were on for only 2 hours in the afternoon. Now it’s 24/7. Plus Video Games, Game Boy, etc. When I was a child I was outside playing MOST of the time. Plus we’ve all been bombarded by “HOLLYWOOD’S VERSION OF TRUTH AND LIFE” for nearly a Century. No wonder our Society is so screwed up. Children, and even Adults, live in some kind of Fantasy World. In my own experience, one of the things that causes me to get depressed is because I lose touch with reality and feel that I am inadequate or a loser because I’m not living the wonderful or exciting life that I see people living on Television, instead of just being happy with the gifts and abilities that GOD gave me. The United States is living in “LA LA LAND” and our Democratic Republic is on the verge of collapsing if WE THE PEOPLE don’t do something. We need a Mainstream Labor Party to represent the 90 Million or so of us who actually do the WORK in this country and pay most of the taxes and bring

I am 54 years old and was diagnosed as being hyperactive when I was about 5 to 7 years old. The more research I do the more that I find my symptoms have always been closer to those displayed by adults, other than the fact that I despise sitting still.

I was fortunate in that I learned many coping skills while young, and that my teachers made a lot of positive impact on me because I was also assessed to be at mensa level.

I have never taken prescribed medication for the hyperactivity, and I do not believe in prescription medicine, since I believe they cause more problems.

However, I have self medicated with nicotine since I was 16 years old. I recognized that my underlying cause of my addiction to cigarettes was my hyperactivity. Nicotine as a stimulant helps me to sit still and concentrate. But the cigarettes are just as bad as any prescribed drug.

I think this program is just what I have been looking for!

    Hello Jon Benet,
The video and comments had given me insight of my granddaughter’s problem. She has been on Conserta at the age of five and will be seven in August. She also has a vision problem called in lay men’s term, “Lazy eye. Her eye doctor has recommended a pill that you put under your tongue that will help detox her body that would help with her vision and ADHD. Is this the type of vitaims your are referring too?
I am concerned about her emotional outburst, low self esteem, and loss of weight. My daughter’s concern of taking her off the pill is that she wouldn’t be able to pick her up early from school (if she has an outburst) due to the type of work she does. My husband and I are moving out of state as of June. We are now her support system when emergercies come up. My granddaughter is getting counseling while she is on Concerta which is provided through Medical. What are some suggestions?
