I would advise anyone who thinks his kid has ADD to see a mental health professional. I think too many pediatricians are quick to jump on the ADHD bandwagon because it seems like a simple "fit" and will give a parent answers. Eva G. She was irritable and would only sleep a few hours a night. That certainly didn't help her ADD at all! Fortunately, my pediatrician was more understanding, but she still wanted to try more drugs! R.
