Dr. Michael Lyon discussed the importance of DHA in eliminating ADD symptoms (see video below)…
What is DHA.
here is a great explanation from wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Docosahexaenoic_acid
“
Docosahexaenoic acid (commonly known as DHA; 22:6(ω-3), all-cis-docosa-4,7,10,13,16,19-hexa-enoic acid; trivial name cervonic acid) is an omega-3 essential fatty acid. In chemical structure, DHA is a carboxylic acid with a 22-carbon chain[1] and six cis double bonds; the first double bond is located at the third carbon from the omega end.[2]
Fish oils are rich in DHA. Most of the DHA in fish and more complex organisms originates in photosynthetic and heterotrophic microalgae, and becomes increasingly concentrated in organisms as it moves up the food chain. DHA is also commercially manufactured from microalgae; Crypthecodinium cohnii and another of the genus Schizochytrium.[3] Most animals make very little DHA through metabolism; however small amounts are manufactured internally through the consumption of α-linolenic acid, an omega-3 fatty acid found in chia, flax, and many other seeds and nuts.
DHA is metabolized to form the docosanoids—several families of potent hormones. DHA is a major fatty acid in sperm and brain phospholipids, and especially in the retina. Dietary DHA may reduce the risk of heart disease by reducing the level of blood triglycerides in humans. Low levels of DHA result in reduction of brain serotonin levels[4] and have been associated with ADHD, Alzheimer’s disease, and depression, among other diseases, and there is mounting evidence that DHA supplementation may be effective in combating such diseases (see external links at the end of this article).”

My son has ADD and is 6 years old. He has never had a very much DHA in his diet. My daughter is 22 months old and has yogurt with DHA and eats foods with DHA, and her diet consists mostly of fruits and veggies. My daughter is already counting to 10, learning her ABC”s and is almost completely potty-trained, most people believe she is three years old and are shocked she is not even two years old yet. It is amazing what a good diet can do.
I bought the vitamins , I can not find the DHA in any of them , please help,
In our experience, DHA has shown to help ( you can get a DHA supplement at any health store GNC or even wal-mart for cheap)
I would recommend supplementation in this order.
1. the liquid vitamins (its like the foundation)
2. neu-bCalmd (ADD specific)
3. DHA supplement
btw – Be on the look out for many foods advertising “high in DHA” or “omega 3″. You can get plenty of DHA in your diet if you try.
My son has ADHD and I would like to order the Nu-B-Calm how do I order this?
Also can he take these vitamins while I am wheening him off the Wellbutrin that he takes? I also give him Omega 3 fish oil, and a chewable vitamin will I still give him these or not once he is taking the liquid vitamins?
“Nu-B-Calm how do I order this?”

“Also can he take these vitamins while I am wheening him off the Wellbutrin that he takes?”
Yes, this is how many people accomplish getting off meds. Do it under Docs advice b/c the meds are very powerful and messed your head up.
“I also give him Omega 3 fish oil, and a chewable vitamin will I still give him these or not once he is taking the liquid vitamins?”
keep the omega 3 and ditch the chewable.
I have entered my e-m address twice, but you have not e-mailed me “right away`’ the ADD ADHD tests as you indicated/ Why are you deducting $19.00 a month from my cc if I have to pay for anything else?
How about seeing a REAL doctor?
