This gave me HOPE, Diagnosed in 2009 at the age of 46… finally some anwsers..n-know how do I manage..make a real living? I recently launched a business and simultaneously taking myself through some Microsoft training. Juicing and making a few dietary changes. Just knowing others have found a way to THRIVE not just survive.. gives me continued HOPE. Thank you
Hope for our daughter just diagnosed and revilation for my husband whom has refused to believe, saying she too smart to have ADHD. The video has shown our daughter that even with this she can still acheive anything she wants.

I have family members with ADD/ADHD, and they are amazing people! I love them so much, and enjoy their company, because they aren’t “Normal!”
I have faith my son will change this world for the better. Go Parker !! You live your dreams.
My son’s mind amazes me everyday! You rock Killian!
Don’t let ADD hold you back. Find a way to maximize its potential. Growing up I did horrible in school. My mom was told that I should look at janitorial jobs or jobs that didn’t require a lot of thought. Instead I got into technology and now I’m a VP of a large bank. I’ve learned to use my ADD as an advantage. It’s one of the best things that’s happened to me and it can be great for you as long as you keep the glass half full.
Please forward tests and three free reference
this video had me very close to tears. my son is having lots of social skills issues. and as a result he is being very badly bullied at school right now. Police are now involved to try and help my son out. thank you for sharing this video, I know that it has given him and me also alot of hope and a more positive outlook now.
I am so glad that it has touched you. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help – Jon
I’m one, and liked this short movie. When the educational system was developed in this country, they wanted compliance, and a steady stream of new consumers to buy goods. Those who were different were subjectively and summarily dismissed, or worst held up to ridicule.
There are still many misconceptions, made worst by antiquated definitions or none at all. I am a big fan of self education, because through my 15 years since diagnosed, it is clear that the medical and psychiatric disciplines were not nearly thorough enough. As I reflect on my experiences I’ll give a grade of D, and maybe a C based on my current level of knowledge on the topic. Sure, I’m an amateur, but I can hold my own to a fairly deep level with. MDs and PhDs.
The only way to fight the mislabeling of any person, young or old, is to know more than enough to calmly argue points with the assessor. My motto is “never take a NO from anyone who cannot say YES!”
This world definitely needs some new ways of looking at the old problems that are not getting solved by old ways of thinking. Some of the greatest accomplishments over the course of history came from those who would probably today be diagnosed ADHD, so let’s not try to turn them into something they are not. Let’s welcome them!
That said, there have been some things I have read about some cases of ADD/ADHD that may have been brought on or made worse by the parents’ smoking while the child was developing in utero. This, together with drinking alcohol, and taking the wide variety of drugs available today, may be causing many of these children to suffer for life, as they try to do simple activities of life that, for most, should be easy. This is something that causes needless struggles for the child. We need to pay more attention to our own diet and habits as we parents get ready to bring a new child into the world.
These are just some thoughts that bother me. Why do we have more children that appear to have serious difficulty dealing with the world as it is? Part of the problem is due to our educational system, which bored the heck out of me 50 years ago — and, for the most part, has only gotten worse. Our typical American diet is worse than it was in the 1950s, also. And, a big part of the increased diagnoses is that it makes money for doctors and the pharmaceutical companies, so there is a push to get the kids on meds as a way to shut them up and make them sit still.
Many issues are connected to and feed into this ADHD problem. Thanks for providing a supportive forum where, hopefully, we may make progress toward a solution.
I’d love to get the photos on a poster for my son for inspiration.
